The importance of art is there is no doubt comes from the creative power of the human and it also feeds the other elements of the living conditions of the human being. As we would discuss this in this writing, I would also love to mention that it's not about the "why" or "how" or "what" but it's important to create something can last forever with the all purpose of art and vision of the future. When we talk about art, it's a very large content and we need to know what makes "great" in the art forms and what is a "great" artist. Having said that when we notice in the history there were many great visionary artists did open up their own ways which were the hardest to get and find somebody to actually "buy" their creations. For example: Monet or let's say John Coltrane. (We can also give examples in the classical music which is the universal one.) But I wanted to put those names which were in a very bad condition when it comes to "money" but they invented new ways of their art and also created great fundamentals of the works they had done so far.
The point when we talk about art, the most important thing is that it has to be unique, and then it has to be consistent-creative; it has to have balance and technique also comes at this point. (You can look for impressionist painters and the relation between the composers of those era such as Debussy and Ravel.) When we look at an art piece we look for the impression and expression of the artist'. It can come from their soul (and than mind, heart the latest step must be body) or they can get their knowledge from a very heavy intellectual background but what I find is that going after a path that got opened up by somebody is the easiest way and you will end up by copying all over the place. If you go after the hard way that opening a path that doesn't exist yet is the most valuable one. I'm not saying "modeling" an artist or an art piece would effect the artist badly or it's a bad behave. The originality of the works and the standing point behind that artist and the art pieces would save time learning the core fundamentals. After a certain merit an artist would find its own way or give up and maybe teach art to others (that's it). The most important role of an artist being a leader in that specific field.
After all those steps and a dedicated life into the art would pay with lots of respect from other great artists and would find a space in that timeless era where all the great artist and their works stay forever on Earth unless the World ends with the all information on it. So, until this happen we have time to make the World a greater place.
